My name is Jared Stahl, and I am a graphic designer and artist with over 10 years of experience in print and digital design. I have a passion for all things creative. For as long as I can remember, I have always loved to draw or paint, and create new things using my imagination.
I am inspired by everything that surrounds us including typography, architecture, nature, art and music. I love the moment when an idea sparks in the brain, and then to see it come to life is one of the most rewarding aspects of being a designer.
A custom, original logo for the band Katie Belle and the Bell Rangers. I started with a rough sketch, then created the logo by creating the custom hand-drawn typeface and decorations using pencil and paper, before digitizing the logo in Adobe Illustrator. All the artwork in the logo is completely original, and hand/digitally illustrated. You can check out the band's music and more at katiebellemusic.com
A custom typeface created from my personal logo. The typeface was originally illustrated to create the hand-drawn words ‘ARTIST” & “DESIGNER” in the banners of my personal logo. After creating those letters, I decided to create the rest of the alphabet. I named the font “Willow LN” after the street I live on.
An 11x17 Show Flyer for the band Katie Belle and the Belle Rangers. This is part of their EPK and can be downloaded on their website katiebellemusic.com
Eric Von is a country musician from a Florida beach town. He wanted his logo to reflect his love of the water and the Florida coastal life. Eric wanted 2 different logos, one with just his initials, and the other to be a full logo with his name.
I was asked to create a hand-drawn typeface for a boating party called Shipwrecked Weekend. The event is held at a boat club, and people can park their boats and eat and drink over the coarse of the weekend. My original sketch had a larger “S” and “D” surrounded the letters, but it was too hard to read so I reworked the letters and used the same typeface for the word “Weekend."
TeeShirt Monsters is an e-commerce t-shirt company that creates and sells custom themed t-shirts. Several versions of the logo were created, and the main logo above was picked with some alterations done to the final logo.
I created several party invitation postcards for a friend who works at the Larko Group in Chicago, IL. This invitation was for the company’s 20th anniversary, and was held at the new rooftop bar at the Wit Hotel in downtown Chicago.
My personal branding logo I created using mechanical pencil on paper, before digitally illustrating in Adobe Illustrator. I created a custom hand-drawn typeface and a custom symbol for my initials. All the artwork is completely original. I was inspired by the Victorian era gilded glass windows and artwork of that time period. I was also inspired by my favorite artist David Adrian Smith.
Invitation card for the Larko Group's annual Holiday Cocktail Soirée. The "Holiday" and "Soirée" typeface in the logo is custom-made, while the "Cocktail" is an existing font.
T-Shirt design for an annual bicycle bar-crawl held in my hometown of Seneca, IL. We had a different theme each year and this particular theme was a nod to the Olympics.
A freehand ink-drawing of the Hindenburg disaster.
Pencil drawing of my personal logo, highlighting the custom monogram of my initials.
A t-shirt and flyer for Chicago’s the Fifty/50 bar. This was for their Fat Tuesday event and was sponsored by our Loop Apparel and Dragon Bleu Vodka. Loop Apparel was an apparel company I was apart of with my friends in Chicago.
A custom logo for the Seneca Storm and Seneca Soccer Association, a youth soccer program in Seneca, IL. I hand-drew a custom tornado character and vectorized. I gave the logo a fun, modern and sporty look, utilizing a shield and lightning bolts to frame the logo.
